La Seda de Barcelona focuses part of its growth in coming years within the framework of its Sustainability Policy on the development of its recycling business. In addition to the mixed recycling and injection plant in Beaune (France), the Company has Artenius Green with a plant in Balaguer (Spain) and Erreplast with a plant in Gricignano di Aversa (Italy).
The recyclability of PET is one of its most outstanding properties. Forming part of the first group of plastic products according to the SPI (Society of the Plastics Industry) international identification system, it is the resin with most aptitudes for recycling, which sets it up as a material with a clear component in sustainability.
The Company strategy in the area of the recycling business for the coming years is therefore focused on studying the development of new recycling plants located in the proximity of the PET production and Preform plants.
