La Seda de Barcelona has started out on a new stage which is synonymous with integration after several years of intense activity immersed in the Company Growth Plan and culminating its business model of vertical integration. La Seda de Barcelona closes its previous stage of expansion and focuses its resources on the processes of integrating the different acquired businesses, with special attention on achieving the underlying synergies.
With this premise, throughout the whole of the last year it gave priority to the challenge of completing the integration of all the subsidiaries and devoting all available resources to carrying out the growth in the PET Packaging (preforms and packs) and recycled PET Divisions.
In recent years, La Seda de Barcelona has been positioned as a true key character of the sector, consolidating its leadership in the PET-Packaging market in Europe.
Today, La Seda de Barcelona is an industrial group that operates and does business globally through its 22 plants in 11 European countries, with capacity to supply from PTA, Glycol and PET resin to preforms, packs and recycled PET. |

The Company has completed the whole value chain of the product and reaches the end customers with the PET Packaging.
The first European group to guarantee a pack from its initial design to the supply of the end product:
• It manufactures and supplies PET and recycled PET to its customers in order to reply to the needs of consumers through the recyclability, lightness and strength of this material.
• It designs, transforms and commercialises PET and recycled PET packs to satisfy the needs of end customer/consumers.
• It performs R&D to develop new applications and varieties of PET, which contribute to disseminating this material as that preferred by the end customers and consumers. |
